The Sacramento Kings announced Wednesday afternoon that their G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, will host two regular season games inside Golden 1 Center.
Stockton has played games in Sacramento’s home stadium throughout previous seasons. This year, the first occurrence will occur on January 7th, 2024, against the Long Island Nets at 5 p.m. PST.
Then, on March 7th, the Stockton Kings will host an 11 a.m. matchup against the Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico at 11 a.m. ahead of the Sacramento Kings vs. San Antonio Spurs game that will tip off at 7 p.m.
The games will feature exciting entertainment including performances by the Kings Dancers on January 13 and the Kings Breakers on March 7 and at select concessions, there will be a special $5 hot dog, popcorn, and beer option available. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans in attendance on January 13 will receive a free Sacramento and Stockton Kings co-branded t-shirt.
“We are excited to once again bring Stockton Kings basketball to Golden 1 Center for the second consecutive season,” said Vice President of Business Operations Aaron Morales. “We look forward to taking over the arena for two Kings Collide games.”

The NBA G-League recently completed its showcase cup, where the Westchester Knicks defeated the Indiana Mad Ants in the Finals. The Stockton Kings did not qualify for the eight-team playoff round, finishing their cup with a 5-11 record.
Yet, after a mere 9-9 record in last season’s Showcase Cup, they recorded a league-best 25-7 regular season record.
With talent such as two-way players Jalen Slawson and Jordan Ford alongside the likes of Jeremy Lamb, Deonte Burton, Skal Labissiere, Mason Jones, and Stanley Johnson, their games can offer NBA-level talent to attendees. Sacramento rookie Colby Jones often makes appearances as well, led by new head coach Lindsey Harding.
The Stockton Kings hope to improve on last season’s regular-season success and carry it over in their own postseason. Every game along that path counts, including the aforementioned two taking place in Golden 1 Center.
