Jason Anderson, Sacramento Kings reporter for the Sacramento Bee, joined The Drive Guys Wednesday to discuss the recent tough losses by the Sacramento Kings and if there will be any moves before the NBA’s trade deadline.

Following back-to-back losses in the closing seconds to both the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns, the Sacramento Bee reporter believes there’s a sense of urgency to make a roster move.

“They would like to make a move sooner than later… but it takes two to make a trade and you gotta find a good partner who’s going to make a deal with you,” Anderson said. “The other side of that, for those teams that are sellers, it’s in their best interest a lot of time to wait until the deadline gets closer because it puts them more in a position of leverage and be able to make sure they’re getting the best deals themselves. So they’re in a little bit of a tough spot there.”

Additional topics discussed include:

  • De’Aaron Fox and the team’s reaction to the Suns loss
  • Is this Kings team playing with a lack of poise?
  • If the trade talk surrounding the team is a distraction?
  • Why is Mike Brown only using three guards in his lineup recently?
