Thanksgiving week is a busy one in general. Family get-togethers, big dinners, and Black Friday shopping. This Thanksgiving weekend however, it is necessary to squeeze in as much sports as possible. It’s a busy weekend of sports and here are the top sporting evens happening from Thursday-Sunday:

NFL on Thanksgiving

As usual, the NFL features three games on Thanksgiving. The day starts with the Chicago Bears taking on NFC North rival Detroit Lions at 9:30am on CBS. Washington at Dallas follows at 1:30pm on FOX. The day closes with the Saints hosting the Falcons at 5:20pm on NBC.

Tiger Woods vs Phil Mickelson, Friday at noon on Pay-per-view

Two of the greatest golfers of all-time will take each other on with $9 million on the line at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas. The match play will be featured on pay-per-view for $19.99. The match has a chance to get interesting as with the $9 million on the line, both Tiger and Mickelson will be permitted to make side bets during holes, making the pot that much sweeter.

No. 4 Michigan at No. 10 Ohio State, Saturday at 9:00am on Fox

In what could be the biggest matchup between these two teams since 2006 when the two teams were ranked one and two. This game has playoff implications as the loser most likely will miss out on the field of four and the winner will be in a prime spot in the College Football Playoff.

The Iron Bowl – Auburn at No. 1 Alabama, Saturday at 12:30pm on CBS

While Alabama has looked like world-beaters all season, the Crimson Tide could face their toughest challenge of the season against unranked Auburn. Last season when these two teams met, the then sixth-ranked Tigers upset the first-ranked Crimson Tide 26-14.

The Sacramento Kings at the Golden State Warriors, Saturday at 5:30pm on KHTK

The upstart Kings travel to Oakland to take on the defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors. The Kings have been playing well as of late, defeating the Thunder 117-113 on Monday. The Warriors will be missing both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green on Saturday, both with injuries.

NFL Sunday

The NFL has it’s full slate on Sunday with just the Chiefs and Rams having bye weeks. Games include Giants-Eagles, Seahawks-Panthers, and Packers-Vikings. For a breakdown on those games, checkout our Three Games to Watch article for Week 12.
