Kyle Shanahan involved in only two Super Bowls with overtime
In the 56 years of Super Bowl history, overtime has only happened twice. And Kyle Shanahan has been involved in both.

In the 56 years of Super Bowl history, overtime has only happened twice. And Kyle Shanahan has been involved in both.
The first time football fans experienced a Big Game with extra time was Super Bowl LI when the Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 lead to the New England Patriots. Shanahan was the offensive coordinator for that Falcons team, which eventually lost 34-28.
Less than 10 years later, the second Super Bowl with an overtime would occur. As the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, he took the Kansas City Chiefs to overtime but came up short again, losing 25-22 to Patrick Mahomes and company.
