Sacramento Kings fans know how to show up and show out.

On Monday, the NBA released details about how many fans came out to see a game live for the 2023-24 season. In total, five records were set attendance-wise:

  • total attendance of 22,536,341 in the 2023-24 regular season surpasses the previous record of 22,234,502 set last season
  • 872 sellouts, which is up from the previous record of 791 in 2022-23
  • 71% of games sold out, which is up from 63% in 2022-23
  • average attendance of 18,322, which is up from 18,077 in 2022-23
  • NBA arenas were filled to an all-time-high 98% capacity

Additionally, 10 teams sold out every home game this year. And one of those 10 teams was the Sacramento Kings. They weren’t the only California team to show up on that list though. Joining the Kings were the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, and Phoenix Suns.

When is the next Sacramento Kings game?

The stage is set for a Kings vs. Warriors rematch.

Sacramento will get a chance at redemption on Tuesday night when it faces Golden State in another win-or-go-home showdown. The ninth-seed Kings will look to send the tenth-seed Warriors home when the two teams meet at Golden 1 Center.

Not even one year ago, Stephen Curry’s 50-point performance eliminated Sacramento in Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs’ opening round, which also took place on the Kings’ home floor.

Sacramento and Golden State split the regular season series 2-2 this season, with both teams winning one game at home and on the road.
