Do the Kings have pathways to become a Western Conference contender in 2024? Eric Pincus breaks down how that could be possible.

National NBA writer for Bleacher Report, Eric Pincus, joined The Drive Guys Wednesday to talk about how the 2024 offseason for the Sacramento Kings. They go through the various scenarios involving key players, including Malik Monk. Also, how other teams’ needs factor into what Sacramento can do. Plus, should Malik Monk have won Sixth Man of the Year?

All that and more on Sactown Sports.

“What’s challenging is, if you pay [Malik Monk] the most you can pay, which I’m going to assume they do, there’s not much room left to add,” Eric Pincus said. “In terms of spending, they have maybe seven million more than they can add in [free agents] before you start to run into some of these tax and apron issues. They have these restrictions in the NBA based on spending. So, when I look at the Kings, the way I see it is, they need to shed some money to give them greater flexibility to add.”
