NBA Draft Player Profile: Tyler Smith

As we inch closer to the 2024 NBA Draft, Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross are beginning to examine players who could be on the Sacramento Kings’ radar.

The Kings hold the 13th pick in the draft, meaning they could bring in a player to help the team from day one.

For Sacramento, adding a floor-spacing forward or big should be on general manager Monte McNair’s to-do list, and this draft–as weak of a class as some talent evaluators may believe–has players that fit the Kings’ needs.

G-League Ignite talent Tyler Smith, a 6’11 forward that has proven he can knock down the long ball, could be the type of player that Sacramento targets come June 26th.

The NBA Draft is now a two-night event.

Wednesday, June 26th, will act as the first night of the 2024 NBA Draft, where the Sacramento Kings will make their first-round selection (13th). The second round of the draft will be held on Thursday, June 27th, where the Kings will use its 45th overall pick.

Sacramento hasn’t had a first-round pick since 2022, when it selected Iowa product Keegan Murray with the fourth overall pick.
