Setting expectations for the 2024-25 Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have brushed off an 0-2 start with back-to-back wins, the most recent being a comfortable victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.

NBC Sports’ Tristi Rodriguez joined The Drive Guys this week to share her thoughts on what she has seen from Sacramento over the first four games, lay out her concerns about the team moving forward, and much more.

On their first back-to-back of the 24-25 NBA season, the Sacramento Kings successfully went 2-0, bringing their record to 2-3. For a team that expects to be in the postseason conversation, it was an excellent chance to increase their win tally.

And they did just that. Utah never led by more than four points, with their final advantage disappearing at the 5:52 mark of the first quarter en route to a 113-96 Kings’ victory.

The Jazz were coming off a back-to-back of their own, having lost second-year forward Taylor Hendricks to an unfortunate right fibula fracture in their blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors. Meanwhile, the Kings had just defeated the Portland Trail Blazers by a reasonably comfortable margin.

When is the next Sacramento Kings game?

Sacramento will continue its four-game road trip on Friday night when they face Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena.

With a win, the Kings (2-2) would secure its third-straight win after starting the season in an 0-2 hole.
