Trent Williams ranked among top-5 OT’s in Madden 27

San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams continues to earn the respect of both NFL defenses and EA Sports.

The latest Madden 27 player ratings rank Williams as the No. 4 offensive lineman in the game with a 96 overall rating, tying him with Denver Broncos tackle Garett Bolles and Chicago Bears guard Joe Thuney.

Detroit Lions star Penei Sewell leads the position group at 98 overall, followed by Philadelphia Eagles tackle Lane Johnson at 97.

Even as he prepares for his age-38 season, Williams remains one of the NFL’s premier offensive linemen.

The 2026 campaign will mark his 16th NFL season and seventh with the 49ers, where he has established himself as one of the franchise’s most dominant players since arriving in a 2020 trade from Washington.

Madden 27 Ratings: Offensive Line

Williams’ resume speaks for itself. He is a 12-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro, earning a reputation as one of the most athletic and physically dominant left tackles of his generation.

Whether paving the way in the run game or protecting the quarterback’s blind side, Williams has consistently set the standard at one of football’s most demanding positions.

His Madden 27 rating reflects that sustained excellence. Williams landed ahead of several standout offensive linemen, including Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey (95), Tampa Bay Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wirfs (95), Denver Broncos guard Quinn Meinerz (95), Indianapolis Colts guard Quenton Nelson (94) and Washington Commanders tackle Laremy Tunsil (94).

While younger stars such as Sewell continue to emerge, Williams has shown few signs of slowing down. His combination of strength, footwork and football IQ has allowed him to remain one of the league’s most complete offensive linemen well into the later stages of his career.

With another high rating in Madden 27, EA Sports is signaling that Williams is still viewed as one of the NFL’s elite protectors entering the 2026 season.

If he can stay healthy, the veteran left tackle will once again be a cornerstone of San Francisco’s offensive line and one of the key reasons the 49ers expect to contend.
