Darius Acuff Jr.’s NBA 2K27 rookie rating revealed

Sacramento Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr. has received a 75 overall rating in NBA 2K27, placing him sixth among the game’s top-rated rookies entering the 2026-27 NBA season.

Acuff was selected by the Kings with the seventh overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft after a sensational freshman season at Arkansas.

The young guard averaged 23.5 points and 6.4 assists per game while shooting 44 percent from three-point range, establishing himself as one of the most productive players in college basketball.

His outstanding season earned him SEC Player of the Year, SEC Rookie of the Year and Consensus All-American honors.

According to the recently released NBA 2K27 rookie ratings, Acuff’s 75 overall puts him in a tie for fifth among the game’s rookie class, alongside Keaton Wagler.

Acuff’s rating comes after an encouraging but inconsistent showing during NBA Summer League.

Across three games in Las Vegas, Acuff averaged 19.0 points, 5.3 assists and 1.0 steal, but also committed 4.7 turnovers per game. He shot 36 percent from the field and 26 percent from three-point range.

There were plenty of flashes of the creativity and playmaking ability that made Acuff such a highly regarded prospect at Arkansas. However, his Summer League struggles also illustrated the adjustment he’ll have to make as he transitions from being the primary offensive creator in college to competing against NBA talent.

The Kings clearly believe Acuff has the talent to become a significant piece of their future.

His NBA 2K27 rating provides an early snapshot of how the game views the rookie class, but Acuff will have plenty of opportunities to improve that number once the real games begin.

If he can translate the scoring and playmaking ability he displayed at Arkansas to the NBA level, his 75 overall rating could look very different by the end of the NBA 2K27 season.
