Three to Watch – Week 16

With two games in the books already from Saturday with the Tennessee Titans getting one step closer to a playoff spot beating Washington and the Baltimore Ravens staying in contention for the AFC North title defeating the Los Angeles Chargers. There are 14 games remaining on Sunday and Monday and still plenty of playoff spots up for grabs.

Here’s three games to watch for Week 16:

The New York Giants (5-9) at the Indianapolis Colts (8-6), 10am on CBS

The New York Giants are looking to play spoiler this week with the Colts needing to win to keep pace with the Titans and Ravens for the final wild card spot in the AFC. The Giants are coming off a week where they were shutout by the Titans and are going to be without Odell Beckham on Sunday. The Colts are now half a game out behind the Titans and Ravens who are both now 9-6. If the Colts are upset by the Giants, the road gets tough as they would need the Ravens to lose next week and a win over the Titans to stay alive.

The Houston Texans (10-4) at the Philadelphia Eagles (7-7), 10am on CBS

The Texans will clinch a playoff spot today with a win over the Eagles and keep a hold on the second seed in the AFC. They face a tough test against the Eagles and quarterback Nick Foles. The Eagles need a win today to stay in contention with the Cowboys for the NFC East title. If the Eagles lose today and the Cowboys defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Eagles will be eliminated from the NFC East. Both teams need a win today but for different reasons.

The Kansas City Chiefs (11-3) at the Seattle Seahawks (8-6), 5:20pm on NBC

Both teams are coming off of losses last week against divisional foes with Kansas City losing to the Chargers and the Seahawks falling to the 49ers. Both losses prevented these two teams from clinching something, the Chiefs in the AFC West and the one seed and the Seahawks clinching a playoff spot. Now both teams are looking to win with both teams looking to clinch what could have been clinched last week.
