The Sacramento Kings on Thursday announced Marvin Bagley III suffered a left knee sprain in the team’s 141-140 overtime loss the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Bagley had an MRI Thursday to confirm the sprain. He’ll be re-evaluated in one-to-two weeks.
Bagley went down late in the third quarter after a hard screen from Bucks point guard Malcolm Brogdon. He limped off the floor and didn’t return.
This is the second time this season the left knee has given Bagley trouble. He missed a stretch of 11 games between December and January with a bone bruise on that same knee.
The No. 2 overall pick from Duke is averaging 13.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 24.8 minutes-per-game this season. Sacramento will be without their rookie for at least one week. They play host to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday at the Golden 1 Center.
