The Oakland Athletics entered their four-game set against the Baltimore Orioles by getting swept in their previous series against the Houston Astros. The losing streak hit four after dropping game one against Baltimore but with the A’s wouldn’t lose another after that.

Oakland took the series early Thursday, beating the O’s 8-5 behind Khris Davis’ second two-home run game in a row. Davis finished the game with his two home runs and added three RBI. Josh Phegley added a two-run home run of his own in the fifth inning and Marcus Semien added another in the ninth.

Game 3: Wednesday, April 10

Result: W, 10-3

Davis was key to the offense in game three as well, hitting two home runs and driving in four. Matt Chapman added a 3-for-4 effort with a home run of his own and driving in three. Jurickson Profar tacked on another home run in the seven run victory.

Game 2: Tuesday, April 9

Result: W, 13-2

A five-run second inning set the tone for Oakland but the A’s scored one in the seventh, four in the eighth, and five in the ninth to get them to 13. Brett Anderson allowed two earned runs in 6.2 innings while striking out four and yielding seven hits. Profar hit his first home run as an Athletic while driving in five runs.

Game 1: Monday, April 8
