Free agent outfield and California native Aaron Judge met with the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday and according to reports, those meetings went well.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reported Wednesday morning that Judge had “multiple meetings” with Giants personnel and those meetings were “very productive.”
I’m told it was a very productive meeting. I don’t think right now guys, that there’s been an offer made yet, but I do expect that could happen within the week, where there’s a formal offer made from the Giants to Aaron Judge. We know where the Yankees stand, we know they’ve had a conversation with him since the season ended. Aaron has a pretty good understanding of where the Yankees stand with what they’ve done in the previous offers and where things stand right now.
Earlier this year, Judge rejected a reported seven-year, $213 million extension from the Yankees.
Whether he signs with the Giants or Yankees, Morosi believes a decision will be made before the end of the Winter Meetings.

Judge has played with the Yankees since 2016. After setting a new American League season record for home runs this year, the Linden native was awarded the American League MVP award. The 30-year-old is looking for his next long-term deal and it sounds like the Giants and Yankees are the top choices.
