Aaron Rodgers says he’s ‘not going to San Fran’ at golf tournament

The NFL offseason is expected to bring plenty of movement at the quarterback position. One player many eyes will be on is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
After the 39-year-old gunslinger was eliminated from playoff contention this year, rumors started swirling if he would return to Green Bay.
Well, one play we know he won’t play football next season is for the 49ers.
At the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament at Pebble Beach, Rodgers was asked by CBS golf team correspondent Colt Knost if Rodgers has any news he wants to share with them.
“I’m not going to San Fran,” Rodgers said with a smile.

Let’s ignore the usage of “San Fran” for the time being. Is it possible the 49ers pursue Aaron Rodgers, yes, but after Wednesday’s press conference with coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch, it’s unlikely.
“I know we have two starters on our team right now that I believe we can win with, so when you have that situation, you’re not that eager to go looking around,” Shanahan said.
It’ll be a busy offseason for the 49ers and their quarterbacks. Rookie Brock Purdy tore his UCL in the NFC Championship game, and former starter Trey Lance is still in the process of returning from his broken ankle.
