The Texas Rangers will visit the Athletics this weekend for the final regular season series at the Coliseum

After winning 13 of their last 16 games, the Oakland Athletics enter play on Friday in sole possession of the top American League Wild Card spot.

Fresh off of a walk-off win on Wednesday afternoon, the A’s will be back in action on Friday night when they face off with the Texas Rangers. Oakland holds a 92-61 record, which places them two games ahead of the second-place Tampa Bay Rays. If the Athletics want the Wild Card game to be at Coliseum on October 2nd, they will need to take care of business against a Rangers team that has lost five-straight contests.

Mike Fiers will get the ball on Friday night as he looks for his 15th win of the season. The right-hander is 14-4 with a 4.09 ERA and 117 strikeouts on the season.

Probables

Friday, September 20 – Mike Minor (13-9, 3.33 ERA) vs Mike Fiers (14-4, 4.09 ERA) 7:07pm PST

Saturday, September 21 – Brock Burke (0-1, 5.19 ERA) vs Sean Manaea (2-0, 0.50 ERA)6:07pm PST
