Amiliano "Amil" Fragoso is our newest staff writer/editor for Sactown Sports 1140, focusing on the NFL. Amil recently moved back home to Sacramento after spending the last four years in Phoenix getting his degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communications, earning Hearst and SPJ accolades for his writing. A native of Sacramento, Amil graduated from Del Oro High School where he first found his passion for sports journalism as the sports anchor during morning news broadcasts. Before coming home, Amil spent time working for New York-based Mediaite as their only sports media writer on staff. He also worked for Bonneville Phoenix as a board operator, primarily for KTAR News 92.3 FM. An avid Kings and Raiders fan, Amil is excited to be back in the state capitol covering the teams he grew up watching and cheering for.
