Remember 2012? Civilization had only just been introduced to Marvel’s Avengers blockbusters, we were only on the 5th iteration of the iPhone, and Michael Phelps became the most decorated Olympian of all-time. That same summer as Team USA Basketball got ready to take on competition in London, video surfaced of 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Champion, Blake Griffin, without any warm up, going off glass and throwing down a nasty between-the-legs slam in front of Team USA’s best youth prospects onlooking. Fast forward to present day Team USA practices where soon to be 10-year NBA veteran Blake Griffin is now practicing alongside some of those same young kids that saw him all those years ago. Blake was shown the viral dunk all these years later and had to say, ““Makes me feel old”….us too Blake..us too.
