Brandon Crawford has been named as the San Francisco Giants’ nominee for the 2022 Roberto Clemente Award.
“The Roberto Clemente Award presented by Capital One is the annual recognition of a Major League player who best represents the game of Baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field,” the press release from the Giants reads.
Since 2019, Crawford, 35, has raised more than $250 for ALS research through his Crawford Family Golf Tournament. He and his wife also work each season to support children and their families battling cancer. Crawford also hosts youth baseball camps and worked with the city of San Francisco to help renovate a ballpark near Oracle Park.
Always leading by example, on and off the field.
