Brandon Crawford is getting closer to returning to the San Francisco Giants.
In preparation for his return, the shortstop is making a stop in Sacramento for the River Cats Tuesday and Wednesday, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Sacramento River Cats are the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. He’s expected to play five innings Tuesday night with the River Cats. Tickets for Tuesday and Wednesday’s games are still available.
Brandon Crawford has been in and out of the Giants’ starting lineup since June after a home plate collision against the Atlanta Braves. He was placed on the injured list on July 16.
