You’ve heard of the big bad wolf that blows houses down, but what about the one where a football fan dressed as a wolf robs banks en route to his favorite team’s games?

A Kansas City Chiefs superfan, known for attending many games dressed as a wolf, has been arrested for armed robbery, according to Tulsa County Jail records.

The fan, who goes by ChiefsAholic on Twitter but is named Xavier Michael Babudar, was arrested on Friday morning, according to NBCDFW. Here’s part of the report from them:

Police responded to an armed robbery happening at the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union in Bixby, Okla., with an eyewitness giving a description of the suspect along with the direction he fled, according to Emily Farris of 2 News OklahomaFOX 23 reports that Bixby police set up a perimeter and arrested the suspect, who had a weapon and large amounts of cash on him. No physical injuries to bank employees or witnesses were reported.

Tulsa is en route to Houston from Kansas City, and Babudar said he’d be going to the game. So why not make a quick stop off at the bank to fund the road trip? But unlike me and you he didn’t make a legal withdrawal.

Babudar’s bond is set at $200,000 after being charged with five crimes.

The connection between Babudar and his account was made by eagle-eyed Chiefs fans on Twitter who started sleuthing after the constantly posting account went dark. The story has lit up social media and given Babudar was caught robbing the bank with a mask and he wears one to the game, some folks think he may have been wearing the same mask for cheering as he does robbing.

Babudar was in Denver for the Broncos game earlier this month and now many of his old posts are coming out hilariously. So too is his past criminal record, which shows several heist and robbery-like charges in the past. Oddly enough Babudar also filed a lawsuit against the Patriots for a slip and fall. He’s also used his money on charitable events that Kansas City players were running.

For all those Broncos fans who thought ill of their I-70 rivals now they have some firm dirt to pit on the fanbase. This is developing into the strangest and maybe funniest story of the NFL season.

Nobody was injured in Babudar’s robbery, he was found with a large amount of cash and a weapon, police say.
