Heading into Week 17, Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams needed 119 to become the new franchise leader for receiving yards in a single season.
By the end of Sunday’s matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, he recorded 153 yards, surpassing Tim Brown and becoming the new Raiders single-season receiving yards record-holder in his first year in Las Vegas. His efforts, however, were not enough, as the team would fall in overtime to the 49ers 37-34.
Tim Brown’s record of 1,408 receiving yards has stood in the Raiders organization since 1997.
In what has been one of the few bright spots for the Raiders this season, Adams amassed 1,443 receiving yards. Sunday’s game was his ninth game surpassing 100 yards. His highest game total in 2022 was 177 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14.

Adams also holds the single-season receiving yards record for the Green Bay Packers. In 2021, he recorded 1,553 yards. He is fourth all-time in Packers history for receiving yards with 8,121 and second in receiving touchdowns with 73.
Davante Adams and the Raiders still have one more game to further add to the record. Las Vegas wraps up their rollercoaster season at home against the Kansas City Chiefs.
