There were high expectations for the Las Vegas Raiders heading into the 2022 season. Not just because of what happened last season, but because of the reunion of Davante Adams and Derek Carr.
The two made history in college at Fresno State, where Adams caught 38 touchdowns, recorded 3,031 yards receiving, and had 233 catches with Carr as his quarterback.
But, reality did not live up to the expectations, and now, the Raiders are moving on from Carr for their final two games of the season.
After Wednesday’s practice, Adams was asked about the move, saying nobody was excited about it.
“Him being one of my really good friends and the reason why I came here in the first place. I wouldn’t be here right now if he wasn’t here. I think everybody knows how I feel about him. With that said, there’s a process of how things go and I’m not gonna sit here and go on and on. But obviously, I support my guy and we got to finish the season out the best way we can possible with all things considered at this point.”

Adams wasn’t finished at his locker though. The Raiders wide receiver later went on Instagram to continue his thoughts, saying Derek Carr gave him everything.

The Raiders traded multiple 2022 draft picks to the Packers for Adams before signing him to a five-year, $141 million extension.
