De’Aaron Fox says he “definitely feels like” he has another level

De’Aaron Fox took a big jump in his level of play this year. But, he knows he still has levels to his game that he can unlock.
In his exit interview on Monday, he talked about the jumps he and the team made this season. Sacramento finished as a top-15 defensive team, with a rating of 114.4, ranking 14th in the league. The prior year, they ranked 24th.
“Just continuing to build as a defensive team, I think helps all individuals,” Fox said. “I want to be on a team that’s solid defensively, night in and night out, you know that you’re going to go through hell playing a team defensively. We want to continue to be built defensively.”
Offensively, he also saw career highs in points (26.6) and rebounds (4.6). At 26 years old, Fox closed his seventh year in the league playing the most minutes he’s ever played in his career at just under 36 minutes per game.
“I feel like I’ve gotten better every year, so why do I think that my growth just stunts now,” Fox said. “I still have things I can work towards. I’ve had stretches where I looked really good and I’ve had stretches where I wasn’t good… I work at my game every day, regardless of if we come in here and get shots [up] or we come here and go live, I work. I don’t feel like I’m done growing as a player.”
