De’Aaron Fox on Sacramento’s play this season: ‘I want to win for this city.’
Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox spoke to the media on Monday morning as the second-seed Kings prepared for a matchup against the third-seed Memphis Grizzlies.
The hopeful first-time All-Star previewed Monday’s matchup against the Grizzlies, talked about what the Kings need to do in order to improve on the defensive end, and much more.
Fox, who has been one of the driving forces behind Sacramento’s 26-19 start to the season, is averaging 24.2 points, 4.3 rebounds (career-high), and 6.0 assists per game on 50 percent shooting from the field.
The Sacramento Kings entered the 2022-23 season hoping to break a 16-year playoff drought. After hiring Mike Brown as the team’s new coach, the Kings drafted Keegan Murray as the number four overall pick. They continued to make moves over the summer, trading for Kevin Huerter and signing multiple free agents, including guard Malik Monk.
