Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis returned from a one-game absence to help lead his team to a nail-biting 127-126 win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old, who is currently dealing with an avulsion fracture of the ulnar collateral ligament of the right thumb, scored 31 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out five assists during the winning effort.
Sabonis spoke to the media following his return as the All-Star center discussed how he is feeling physically, recapped the win, and much more.
The Sacramento Kings entered the 2022-23 season hoping to break a 16-year playoff drought. After hiring Mike Brown as the team’s new coach, the Kings drafted Keegan Murray as the number four overall pick. They continued to make moves over the summer, trading for Kevin Huerter and signing multiple free agents, including guard Malik Monk.
