With each passing day, we’re getting close to the ultimate prize: EA Sports College Football 25.
The highly-anticipated CFFB video game franchise is back, and by the looks of it, better than ever. EA Sports has released various deep dives into different aspects of upcoming game over the past few months. Tuesday brought us an extensive look into Dynasty mode, one of the most popular features of the historic franchise.
And boy did EA Sports deliver. Here are some of the biggest features in the newest installment.
A First Look at the new College Football Playoff Format
That’s right!
College Football 25 will feature the brand-new 12-team college football playoffs. The previous four-team format is out the window starting in 2025, with EA Sports providing the first experience for college football fans. Choose between a recurring favorite like Texas or Michigan, looking to have sustained success for the next decade. Or, choose a lower level school like SMU and shock the college football world.
Either way, the 12-team format is here to stay, with College Football 25 giving you the first opportunity to live through it.
Recruiting
The life blood of any college football program is how you recruit; And College Football 25 hits it out of the park!
The newest installment allows you to take full control over your recruiting, starting with setting up a board and scouts that will maximize certain recruiting pipelines. Recruits will also have their own factors that can determine if they will chose your school or not.
The 14 grades include: Playing Time, Playing Style, Championship Contender, Program Tradition, Brand exposure and many more!
Plus, certain high-school talents will have non-negotiable “dealbreakers”, where if your program doesn’t meet their needs, your school will be locked out.
The transfer portal is also featured in College Football 25, for both college athletes and coaches alike. While nothing can be perfect, EA Sports seems to have got all the angst and excitement surrounding the college football landscape.
Customization
EA Sports has made optionality a KingPin in this one, with the user able to adjust various aspects of your college program from the get-go.
Players can set their schedules and adjust conferences. If you want to try your luck with Kennesaw State in The BIG 12, or revert back to the glory days of the PAC-12 with USC, the choice is yours!
