During Thursday’s edition of Cattles & Ramie with Jay Johnson filling in, writer for NFL.com, Eric Edholm, joined the show to discuss all of the top storylines from around the NFL. He broke down the Sam Darnold-49ers hype, what to do with Trey Lance and how the Red & Gold rank in the NFC West.
“I had [the 49ers] as either third-or-fourth on my list of most-talented rosters, and that’s including the confusing quarterback situation,” Edholm said on the show Thursday. “Obviously having three quarterbacks who are at least capable of starting is probably a good thing. But sorting it all out, is another matter as well. I may not have loved every draft pick they’ve made the last four or five years, but they found a way to accumulate depth.”
Topics Discussed:
- Is Sam Darnold going to be the surprise starter for the 49ers?
- What would Trey Lance fetch on the open market?
- How good are the 49ers in the NFC despite not knowing the starting QB for Week 1?
- Are the Raiders going to be improved next season?
- Are there any surprise teams coming in 2023?
- Could the Lions make the playoffs next season?
