Sacramento Kings’ Domantas Sabonis, Alex Len Set For EuroBasket 2022

If you are getting the itch to watch Sacramento Kings basketball, you might want to tune into EuroBasket 2022 over the next two weeks.
Kings centers Domantas Sabonis and Alex Len will both be active participants in this Summer’s EuroBasket 2022 tournament that is set to begin group play on Thursday morning.
Sabonis, Sacramento’s two-time All-Star big man, will be suiting up for Lithuania alongside veteran NBA center Jonas Valančiūnas. Len will be playing for his home country of Ukraine with veteran forward Svi Mykhailiuk.

Sabonis and his Lithuanian squad will begin group play on Thursday morning against Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Dončić and the reigning EuroBasket 2017 champions, Slovenia.
Behind strong play from an 18-year-old Dončić and an MVP performance from NBA veteran Goran Dragić, Slovenia captured its first EuroBasket gold medal in the tournament’s then-82-year history after defeating Nikola Jokic, Bogdan Bogdanovic and the Serbian national team in the finals.
Len and Ukraine will open up group play on Friday morning when they face Great Britain at 5:15am PST.

Per EuroHoops.net, a total of 24 teams will fight for the Eurobasket trophy, starting in four groups of six teams in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Georgia with the goal of qualifying for the final phase, which will be played in Berlin, Germany, at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
The top four teams in each group will advance to the round of 16, the start of the final stage which includes only knock-out games.
