Along with Nassars 175-year prison sentence and the resignation of Michigan State president Lou Anna Simon on Wednesday night, another MSU faculty is stepping down.
Athletic Director Mark Hollis announced his resignation on Friday, Jan. 26 to numerous reporters.
Michigan State men’s sports reporter Chris Solari announced:
“Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis is expected to tender his resignation today in the wake of the Larry Nassar scandal according to a source with knowledge of the situation.”
Hollis like Simon was an MSU alumni from the Class of 1985, before he became the Athletic Director.
Following his resignation announcement, Hollis says “you should not jump to any conclusions” as to why he is resigning.
