There’s a former Oakland Athletics player on every playoff team

MLB playoffs officially began on Tuesday and Oakland Athletics fans may have noticed a common theme among all of the teams participating.
All 12 teams have a former A’s player in their lineup. And at least one team, the Baltimore Orioles, has a player who was on this year’s A’s lineup at one time.
Some names are more familiar than others, but here’s a look at which former Athletics are playing in the postseason.

Former Oakland Athletics in the American League

How did the Oakland A’s finish the 2023 season?
The Athletics had their worst season in Oakland, finishing the year with a 50-112 record, the worst in MLB. The franchise record for most losses came in 1916 when the team was in Philadelphia.
Next for the team is learning whether or not they’ll become the Las Vegas Athletics. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred recently said he hopes the team’s relocation vote happens this November.
