Frank Gore set to be inducted into 49ers Hall of Fame Week 1

This is long overdue and it’s finally happening: Frank Gore will be a member of the 49ers’ Hall of Fame.
The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that the franchise’s all-time leading rusher will be inducted into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. Hall of Fame this year. SF will induct Gore into the Hall of Fame during their Week 1 home matchup against the New York Jets on September 9th.
With former teammate and 49ers great Patrick Willis heading to Canton this weekend, Gore receives his own flowers from the franchise that drafted him.

Frank Gore played 10 years with the 49ers, amassing 156 games played in Red & Gold. He leads the franchise in rushing yards (11,073) and rushing touchdowns (64). He also is the 49ers’ leader in rushing attempts (2,442). The Florida native was drafted by San Francisco in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He made five Pro-Bowl teams, all with thew Red & Gold.
Gore would go on to play for the Indianapolis Colts (2015-17), Miami Dolphins (2018), Buffalo Bills (2019) and New York Jets (2020), playing 16 years in the NFL. He ranks third all-time in rushing yards at 16,000.
