The voice of Sacramento Kings radio Gary Gerould joined Cattles & Ramie Wednesday to talk about the teams’ recent losses to top Eastern Conference teams, how the intensity ramps up during playoff basketball, and making it back to the postseason.
Topics discussed include:
- How much from the losses to the Bucks and Celtics can be attributed to those teams being on another level from the Kings?
- Should the Kings have enough rest by the time the Suns come to town on Friday?
- The Kings’ records against the Eastern Conference compared to Western Conference teams
- Why playoff basketball is different from regular season play
- Which teams scare the G-Man as potential playoffs matchups for the Sacramento Kings
- “I think you can probably make a case for just about anybody for some varying reasons. I think Phoenix is awfully good, even without Durant, they’re still a handful,” Gerould said, adding the Clippers to his list. “But, I’m the kind of guy, I’m concerned about everybody. I don’t think there’s anybody that you just say ‘ok, this is a piece of cake.’ That doesn’t exist in the Western Conference.”
