How wild was the Sacramento Kings’ 2023-24 regular season? Gary Gerould says it’s unlike anything he’s ever witnessed in the NBA.
Sacramento Kings radio voice, Gary Gerould, joined The Drive Guys Tuesday to talk about the Kings’ 2023-24 regular season and what’s next for the team. They also discuss the inconsistencies of the season, how the national media feels about certain players, and what drives The G-Man after all these years. Plus, should Malik Monk have won the Sixth Man of the Year award?
All that and more on Sactown Sports.
“I was really disappointed and I was afraid that that was going to happen,” Gary Gerould said about Monk’s 6MOTY snub. “I was afraid of it because of the inactivity of the last three weeks of the season. If you’re not there, you’re quickly forgotten. And people weren’t seeing on a nightly basis just how dynamic his game is, and how important to any Kings’ success [he was].”
Additional topics discussed include:
- How unusual was the Sacramento Kings’ 2023 season from G-Man’s point of view?
- How does Gary stay so locked in after all these years?
- Is it hard to adjust to the offseason after being locked in for so many months?
- How impactful was Malik Monk’s absence down the stretch?
- Was Kevin Huerter’s injury heightened after Monk went down?
- How does the national media feel about Domantas Sabonis?
- Was Malik Monk snubbed in Six Man of the Year voting?
- Is Keegan Murray on the right trajectory to be a budding star in the NBA?
- Why G-Man is all in on Keegan Murray
