Apr 28, 2023, 8:30 AM
This weekend, the San Diego Padres host the San Francisco Giants in MLB’s first-ever regular season series played in Mexico City and the first-ever international series for the Giants.
The league has played in Mexico before, with five regular season games taking place in Monterrey, with the first one dating back to 1996 between the Padres and New York Mets. And they won’t be the only teams to play internationally this season. This June, the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals will meet in London.
