Harrison Barnes has been through a lot during his 11-year NBA career.

A championship run with the Golden State Warriors in 2015. A gold-medal experience with the 2016 U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team. And now, Barnes has helped lead the Sacramento Kings to the franchiseโ€™s first NBA Playoff appearance since 2006.

Barnes sat down with Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross to share his thoughts on the end of the drought, talked about the current state of the team as the NBA Playoffs approach, and much more.

To hear Barnes’ full interview with Dave and Jason, click ‘play’ on the video located at the top of the page or click here.

Topics Discussed:

  • Barnes says that this season has been “a special experience” for him
  • When did Barnes realize that this Kings team was on the verge of a special season?
  • “When ‘light the beam’ started, I started to see that we have something… For me, it was “okay, we can be a good basketball team.”
  • Can this team–even with a defense that struggles to create stops consistently–cause damage during a playoff series?
  • “We are fortunate to be as offensively gifted as we are.”
  • Why don’t people say “offense wins championships”?
  • Barnes is closing in on playing in all 82 games this season. How important is it for Barnes to play every game?
  • Will Barnes grow out a playoff beard?
