SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
How to watch 49ers v. Commanders Week 16: TV channel, start time

Merry Christmas Sactown Sports family!
This year we have a full slate of NFL games to keep you occupied over the holiday weekend, including the San Francisco 49ers, at home against the Washington Commanders.
The 49ers haven’t played against the Washington-based franchise since 2020, losing to the then Washington Football team, 23-15. San Francisco holds the all-time record over their NFC counterparts though, at a record of 21-12-1 since the teams’ first meeting in 1952. In the two teams’ last meeting, Washington came with the win, 23-15, over San Francisco.
Despite the 49ers already clinching the division, don’t expect them to take their foot off the gas down the stretch run of the regular season. Only a game back on the Minnesota Vikings, the Red & Gold will look to secure even more of a home-field advantage in the final three games, using most of their starters to do so.
I think that’s one of the biggest mistakes people make just watching it over the years,” head coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday. That’s my opinion, I would understand if you were getting ready for a seven-game series, I don’t think football is like that. It’s three and a half hours. It’s one shot. I’ve been on a lot of teams where you rest guys and or give guys a few more weeks and those are usually the guys who struggle the most in that first playoff game, but I think what situations are different is like last year when it came down to our last game you have guys that are fighting to play because they’re right on the bubble of not being able to play and in this situation those guys you would definitely rest, so anybody who has an injury that could risk them for the following week or something like that’s to me the decisions now that there is no decision. Definitely rest them.”
What time does the Week 16 game start?
Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PST on Saturday, Dec. 24th, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Where can I watch the game?
The game will air live on CBS. Kevin Harlan (play-by-play) and Trent Green (color analyst) will be on the call. Melanie Collins (sideline reporters) will join them.
