While most teams are playing their first preseason game this weekend, the Las Vegas Raiders are hoping to start the preseason 2-0.
The Raiders defeated the Jaguars in the Hall of Fame game last week, 27-11. This Sunday, the Raiders take on the Minnesota Vikings, the first preseason game for Minnesota.
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins tested positive for COVID-19, which takes him out of Sunday’s game against the silver and black. Davante Adams, Derek Carr, and Darren Waller will not play.
On Friday, coach Josh McDaniels spoke to the media Friday, discussing the upcoming game.
“We try to use each opportunity that we have, whether it’s a practice or a game in the month of August to the best of our ability to help us get to ultimately what we need to get to, which is the best evaluation of our team and then try to make those decisions at the end here when we’re asked to do so. So that’s what we’re going to do,” McDaniels said Friday.
