While most teams are preparing for game two of the NFL preseason, the Las Vegas Raiders are preparing for their third!
The Raiders face off against the Dolphins Saturday, in Miami. Coach Josh McDaniels told the media Thursday some starters are likely to play but did not say who would sit. Davante Adams and Derek Carr have not yet taken the field for a preseason game. Tight end Darren Waller returned to practice this week, after dealing with a hamstring injury but also is not expected to play Saturday.
“Again we haven’t really said like, ‘This group is the starters.’ So, we’re just kind of in a competition mode still, still got a lot of time left to sort things out in that regard.” We’re going to try to do the same thing we did the first two, it’s really use them to help us with some things we’re trying to figure out. So in some cases, yes, some cases probably not, but that’s probably where we’re at right now.”
