The final two weeks of the NFL season will have plenty of playoff implications for both the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts.
On New Year’s Eve, the Silver & Black travel to Indy to keep its postseason hopes alive.
“I think when you get to this point of the year everybody’s fighting and been playing football for a long time, and so I think it’s going to be a really good challenge for us,” rookie QB Aidan O’Connell told reporters earlier this week. “Another back-to-back road game, so we’re going to have to deal with the noise and all that stuff. Obviously coming off a short week, it’s going to take a good week of practice, walk throughs and getting good mental reps throughout the week.”

What time does the game start?
Kick-off between the Colts and Raiders is set for 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
How to watch the Colts vs Raiders
After playing in the highest-rated Christmas Day game since 1989, it’s going to be tough for fans to check out the action. The game is set to air on CBS with Andrew Catalon (play-by-play) and Tiki Barber (analyst) on the call. However, CBS will prioritize the Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens for most of its viewing audience.

What happened the last time the two teams met?
Last season, interim coach Jeff Saturday was only a few days on the job when the Colts beat the Raiders 25-20.
“They came in here last year and got after us pretty well,” Antonio Pierce said earlier this week. “We’re going to expect their best football obviously. They’re good up front. Both sides, right. O-line, D-line we got to deal with. Big running back, we saw that last year. It wasn’t pretty for us. And quarterback, we got to be careful with this guy. He’s tricky, and he’s tricky good. And he’s done a really good job for them really just coming in, and you can’t even tell, like is he a backup? You wouldn’t know. I would think he was the starter since day one, the way he’s playing, the way the team plays around him.”
