Hunter Pence Expected To Make An Appearance With The Sacramento River Cats

San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence is currently on the disabled list due to a thumb sprain.
He is beginning a rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A team, the Sacramento River Cats, on Friday night according to general manager Bobby Evans and Giants beat writer Henry Schulman.
The River Cats have announced that Pence is making an appearance this weekend via Twitter.

This Friday’s game is against the Reno Aces, the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Triple-A team.
Pence is expected to return to the active roster, although he will not be activated when eligible on Sunday.
