I have found that predictions aren’t worth much but that people enjoy reading them.   They enjoy looking at them because they like to call back those picks and make fun of what went right and wrong.  Last year I so brilliantly picked the Red Sox and SF Giants in the World Series.  I was way off.  We had a classic with the Astros and the Dodgers in 2017.  So what does 2018 look like?

Here are my picks:

AL East winner:  New York Yankees (yes it’s a homer pick but the bombers are stacked)

AL Central winner: Cleveland Indians

AL West winner:  Houston Astros

AL Wild Cards:  Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins

Surprise AL Team:  I really think the Oakland A’s have a chance to surprise people this year

NL East winner:  Washington Nationals

NL Central winner:  Chicago Cubs

NL West winner:  Los Angeles Dodgers (looking for 6th straight NL west title)

NL Wild Cards:  St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers

NL Surprise Team:  For me it is the Milwaukee Brewers

World Series:  I have the Houston Astros going back to back and defeating the Washington Nationals.

The season is here. Enjoy my picks, make fun as usual and PLAY BALL!
