The Las Vegas Raiders came out of their Bye Week with a decisive victory Sunday, beating the Houston Texans 38-20.
Running back Josh Jacobs scored two of his three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, on his way to 143 yards rushing on the day. He added 12 receiving yards, too. This is the third straight game Jacobs has rushed for over 100 yards.
The nail-in-the-coffin came when safety Duron Harmon intercepted a pass from Texans’ quarterback Davis Mills, returning it for 73 yards and the score.
Derek Carr ended the day with a quarterback rating of 116.2 with 241 passing yards and one touchdown. Davante Adams ended the day with eight catches on 95 yards.
“We talked a lot about a few things in the Bye Week, and we saw some fruit of our labor here show up today,” coach Josh McDaniels said. “We talked about our red zone, trying to improve offensively and defensively in the red zone and I thought we did some of that today.”
