In Thursday’s series-opening win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, Jung Hoo Lee pushed his hitting streak forward into double-digit numbers.

In four at-bats, Lee connected with two hits, extending his hitting streak to 10 games. After the game, he told reporters he doesn’t know if ever had a 10-hit streak in the KBO League because “nobody cares about hitting streaks in Korea.”

But, don’t take that as him not caring about what happens in San Francisco.

“The way I come into the game right now is playing like it’s an international match for my country or like a postseason game back in the KBO. Every game is really important for me. I try to put a lot of importance on all the pitchers I face right now,” Lee told reporters after Thursday’s win.

Jung Hoo Lee signed a six-year, $113-million contract with the Giants this past offseason. And in 19 games with San Francisco, he’s hitting .282 with one home run and five RBI.

If he continues his streak, his fan club will continue to grow.
