Keegan Murray stands alone.

The rookie forward has set an NBA rookie record with his 188th made three-point field goal of the season, breaking All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell’s record of 187 that was set during the 2017-18 season.

Murray, the Sacramento Kings’ fourth-overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft out of Iowa, has been a critical piece of this season’s impressive play that has put them in a top-three spot in the Western Conference standings.

The 22-year-old entered play on Wednesday night averaging 11.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range over 71 appearances.

Among players this season that have attempted 400 three-point field goals this season, Keegan Murray ranks fifth in three-point field goal percentage (.410).

Murray has also converted five-or-more three-point field goals in 10 games this season. No other rookie has done so on more than three occasions.

The rookie’s 188 made three-point field goals are the sixth-most made during a single season by a Sacramento King in franchise history.
