For the second consecutive season, Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray has been selected to play in the NBA Rising Stars Game on All-Star Weekend.

Announced Tuesday afternoon, Murray became the fifth player in franchise history to be selected to participate in both their rookie and sophomore seasons.

The sophomores joining Keegan Murray are as follows: Paolo Banchero, Dyson Daniels, Jalen Duren, Jaden Ivey, Walker Kessler, Bennedict Mathurin, Shaedon Sharpe, Jabari Smith Jr., and Jalen Williams.

Aside from Chet Holmgren, who made the rookie team after missing his entire first season due to injury, all of the top-eight selections from the 2022 NBA Draft made the cut.

After Holmgren, the rookie list includes Bilal Coulibaly, Keyonte George, Jordan Hawkins, Scoot Henderson, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Dereck Lively II, Brandon Miller, Brandin Podziemski, Cason Wallace and first overall pick in 2023 Victory Wembanyama.

Seven players who primarily played in the G-League will also take place in the game: Izan Almansa, Matas Buzelis, Ron Halland, Mac McClung, Tyler Smith, Oscar Tshiebwe, and Alondes Williams.

Keegan Murray has continued to build on his debut season, where he set the NBA record for made triples by a rookie (206), displaying his impressive defensive versatility on and off the ball and increased shot-making and creation capabilities. Through 41 games, the second-year forward is averaging 15.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from three on 6.5 attempts per game.

Keegan Murray may join Domantas Sabonis and/or De’Aaron Fox on a trip to Indiana for All-Star weekend. If his progress continues, he may be named to the primary All-Star roster at some point in his career alongside some of his current high peers on the Rising Stars roster.
