Kings rookie Keegan Murray says he is focused on team goals, not personal awards

Sacramento Kings rookie forward Keegan Murray spoke to the media on Friday afternoon to discuss the team’s recent play, his recent Rookie of the Month honors, and much more.
The fourth-overall pick shook off a rough November and bounced back to the tune of 12.7 points per game on 46 percent shooting from the field and a red-hot 46 percent from three-point land during December to claim national recognition in the form of Western Conference Rookie of the Month.

The Sacramento Kings entered the 2022-23 season hoping to break a 16-year playoff drought. After hiring Mike Brown as the team’s new coach, the Kings drafted Keegan Murray as the number four overall pick. They continued to make moves over the summer, trading for Kevin Huerter and signing multiple free agents, including guard Malik Monk.
