Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Huerter joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Friday morning to talk about the first three games of the road trip, his attempts to get into the NBA All-Star Game three-point shooting contest, and more.

Topics discussed include:

  • How the road trip has gone so far, especially with how cold it has been in the Midwest and Texas lately
  • Being in the room when the team told Domantas Sabonis he was named to the All-Star team
  • “He’s extremely deserving. It’s one of those things like we would’ve rioted if he didn’t make it in and [De’Aaron] Fox is super deserving if they’ll add him. But Domas is someone who plays every game, plays through injuries, and he brings it every night… You know that other guys don’t exactly love going against him cause of the intensity, the physicality that he plays with every night. So, he’s the epitome of an All-Star. It’s great that we have a representative in that game, we just wish we had two representatives.”
  • His and the team’s reaction when Fox’s name was not called for All-Star reserves Thursday night.
  • “I’m not going to name names, there’s definitely guys in that game that 100% don’t deserve to make it over Fox.”
  • If he could have any De’Aaron Fox trait, which would he choose?
  • Despite what the statistics say, he doesn’t feel off.
  • How does the team adjust when Fox is out
  • If he thinks he’ll make it in the NBA All-Star weekend’s three-point shooting contest
