Keegan Murray is heading to Salt Lake City.

Murray was named as a selection for the NBA’s Rising Stars game on Tuesday, as the fourth-overall pick from June’s draft will be packing his bags for All-Star Weekend.

The 22-year-old has burst onto the scene as one of the best three-point threats in the league as Murray is currently averaging 12.3 points per game on 45 percent shooting from the field and 42 percent from beyond the arc.

Of the 18 players this season to attempt at least 200 three-point field goal attempts, Murray has the eight-highest three-point percentage. The rookie leads the 2022 draft class with 119 made triples, with the next closest rookie on the list being Atlanta Hawks forward AJ Griffin (78).

Murray, who has been a critical contributor to a Sacramento Kings team currently sitting in first place in the Pacific Division and third in the Western Conference, has provided the starting lineup with three-point shooting, length on the defensive end, and, recently, a punch on the glass.

Since Kings head coach Mike Brown challenged Murray to hit the glass more often, the rookie has averaged 7.1 rebounds per game over the past ten contests.

The 6’8 forward is currently in line to secure his second-straight Rookie of the Month award after posting 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game on 51 percent shooting from the field and 49% from beyond the arc (15 games).

Murray will join other top rookies, sophomores, and G-League standouts during the NBA Rising Stars game on Friday, February 17th at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The 28 players set to participate in the Jordan Rising Stars include 11 NBA rookies, 10 NBA sophomores and seven NBA G League players.

The 21 NBA players, selected by NBA assistant coaches, will be drafted onto three seven-player teams. The seven NBA G League players, selected by the NBA league office, will comprise the fourth team.
