While 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo finds a suitable trade partner, he continues to train on the sidelines of the 49ers training camp.
Friday started out with head coach Kyle Shanahan giving an update on the team’s former starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo, and his progression through rehab from shoulder surgery in March.
“We made it the best for both,” Shanahan said Friday morning. “I mean, if Jimmy wanted to be in every single meeting and wanted to do everything, for sure we would let him. I would guess that isn’t what he would want, totally. And when we asked him, that was accurate — he didn’t totally want that. So he’s just trying to get his body ready for hopefully the next situation he goes into.”

Shanahan also reiterated that there is no awkwardness between Jimmy G and the organization, as both sides look for a solution heading into the regular season.
